SOE's Rolling awarded funding for interdisciplinary art education research program
James H. Rolling, Jr., dual associate professor of art education and teaching and leadership in the College of Visual and Performing Arts and the School of Education and Art Education Department chair, has been selected to receive a $4,000 grant from the VPA Interdisciplinary Committee of Faculty Council to develop a course in arts-based educational research. Steven J. Taylor, professor of cultural foundations and co-director of Syracuse University's Center on Human Policy, Law and Disability Studies, has been named Centennial Professor in Disability Studies in the School of Education. Taylor’s appointment as the school’s first Centennial Professor is in recognition and appreciation of his pioneering scholarship in and commitment to the field of disability studies.
